Bebe Books installeert wereldwijd queer spaces en ondersteunt aanstormend creatief talent. Hun missie is om Safe Spaces te organiseren waar plezier, kunst en educatie hand in hand gaan. Naast hun taak als curator, reizen ze rond met hun collectie fanzines om mensen te verbinden, te verenigen en in gesprek te gaan. 

Samen met de Happy Crappy Queers geven ze een workshop queer zine maken, zondag 14 augustus, in Kartonnen Dozen. De DIY zines waren voor de queergemeenschap het internet avant la lettre en zorgden ervoor dat queers zich konden organiseren en elkaar vinden. Daarnaast waren ze een broeihaard voor activisme, humor en kritisch denken. Ze zijn terug van nooit weggeweest en tijdens de afsluiter van de reguliere Pride verdelen ons drukwerk op de Grote Markt. Deelname is gratis, maar schrijf je vooraf even in via info@happycrappyqueers.be, dan laten we de persen rollen.

Bebe Books installes queers spaces around the world, by organising and curating LGBTQ+ friendly events and supporting promising artists and collectives. Bebe’s mission is to build a safe space where they  harmonize pleasure, arts, and education. Besides their curatorial practice, they travel with their fanzine collection to connect, communicate, and unite with other people.

Together with The Happy Crappy Queers they invite you to a workshop queer zines, Sunday the 14th, at Kartonnen Dozen. The DIY zines were the internet avant la lettre for the queer community and made it possible for queers to find each other and organize themselves. Beside that, they were a hotbed for activism, humour and critisism. During the workshop, we'll create our own zine, that will be distributed at the closing party of the Antwerp Pride Week at the Grote Markt.
